To summarize the thread: - everyone so far recommends putting the bank name as part of the account -- agreed! - use ledger's features to customize the output to what I need for any particular report -- I'm learning more about --limit and --display - use the payee string to describe the transaction (e.g., CITI to BOA) - can assign payee tags to individual postings -- I plan to use this only when the payee information is not apparent from the whole transaction -- Best, Hsiu-Khuern.
