I got a brand new C5 in 2005 which systematically fell apart in 2 months and was rapidly returned from where it came. Electrics failed...door panels fell off, you could scratch the paint work down to the metal with a brush of your finger nail...even the bloody rear view mirror fell off, just before the passenger side door mirror tried to spontaneously self combust. Fuel Gauge read ? full when it was empty. Gearstick fell off...car stank of petrol when you filled it up....and so on and so forth. TBH I can't even remember all the other faults. No axe to grind with Citroen at all, but it was by far the worst car I have ever owned. They gave a full refund without question and were very decent and apologetic.
