To be fair in the aftermath of de meneses the 'facts' according to the met were that he ran and jumped the barrier. The CCTV footage of this mysteriously disappeared. Numerous witnesses at the inquest testified that he was walking calmly and used his oyster to get through the barrier before being shot several times in the head on the train. Obviously there will be an IPCC investigation, which we should wait for.
The problem of course is that any criticism of the police could result in further violence. Any perceived cover up - ditto! It's interesting really.
