Jeez Dave , I agree with most you say, but thinking that Becchio is going to shoot us in to the Premiership is madness. Although Keogh was poor he still manages to control the ball, pass to a Leeds player and then make his next move. He's so much better than Becchio. I can't believe you can't see how poor Becchio is ? and playing the donkey will encourage only one tactic which we know doesn't work for us. Becchio is a massive step backwards.

Keogh does not score enough goals and never has done. We have gone 5 games now without either of our two strikers scoring and that is too long , it is Ok for one of them in a goal drought but not for both of them as a pair.McCormack is a big worry - he has not scored since he missed that open goal v Coventry , a chance which would have won us the game in spite of Rachubka's mistake. Our options with Billy P gone and Somma injured are limited. Forsell is not even making the bench so we can with 2 from 4. Keogh , Becchio as the workhorse / support player and either Nunez or McCormack as the poacher / scorer.McCormack has proved he can do it and so deserves to at least start on Saturday (and v Forest) and then re-assess him if he has still not scored.Becchio, for all his faults, has scored at this level. With Keogh neither scoring himself nor helping his partner score for 5 games then it may be time to recall Becchio. I always think goal stats for subs are very misleading - yes Somma had a patch when he kept coming on as sub and scoring and Rich referred to Becchios own sub hat-trick, but of course if it was so easy for a sub to score then 'super subs' would be all the rage and would top the scoring charts.McCormack supposedly went his first 20 games without scoring but since the vast majority of these were as sub not many fans thought that meant he could not score ! So with O'D suspended and O'Brien out I would bring back Lees alongside Kisnorbo and bring in Becchio for Keogh. The only other debate is , if Pugh is fit he comes back in or does Sam keep his place. I think that at home against a lower team - albeit one who will be really up for it against us- that Sam's extra quality going forward would justify him getting the nod and starting the game BUT they need to work on his positional stuff to stop him wandering inside if he is on the left rather than his 'natural' right hand side Dave --- On Sun, 20/11/11, Richard Walker <[email protected]> wrote: From: Richard Walker <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [LU] Burnley report To: "DAVID NATTAN" <[email protected]> Cc: "list leedslist" <[email protected]> Date: Sunday, 20 November, 2011, 12:39 So you would go with Becchio and Macca then ? ate _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate
