There's no way you can blame White for Burnley's goal. The guy got a cross in - 
what were the defenders doing ? Connelly was nowhere and Kisnorbo too - far too 
easy. 
 
It was the first time White and Sam had started together so it wasn't going to 
be perfect but Sam did enough good things including the cross for our first 
goal which suggests to me he should stay in the side. I would argue that if 
Danny Pugh had been playing we wouldn't have won the game because theres no way 
he would have been able to produce a killer cross like that.

Rich I can see your point about Becchio. I'm not sure that I agree. To put it 
another way I don't think you see positive sides of Becchio. He is a talisman 
and he can never be ignored by the opposition defense. 
Pugh is a solid players player. Competent, never brilliant, but never making 
howlers or not fulfilling orders. 
I like his play. He's never the star but it is of no coincidence that White 
plays well with him in the team and was responsible for a goal being scored 
against us when Pugh was absent.
