The remarkable thing about Green Bay is that it is the smallest city in America
with a team in any of the major league sports. The population of Green Bay is
only 104,000 and if you include the entire county that it resides in it comes
to 240,000. The Packers are the only team in the state of Wisconsin which has a
population of about 5 1/2 million and is only slightly bigger than England
itself but smaller than Scotland.
For the record, American football players average wage is the lowest of the
three major sports....basketball, baseball and NFL...but some stretch.
On another side note...the MLS (american soccer league) has moved ahead of
basketball and now has the third highest average attendance per game...I
believe it's around 17500. Moving on up....
