Dave, you said..... I think you overseas fans do not realise quite how bad things are at ER !!
Things have been bad at ER for years......just as things have been bad with our hockey team in Vancouver.....three times to the Cup Final series in over 40 years......except for a brief spell.....each and every game has been sold out....and each and every game is shown on TV.....the cheapest seats go for almost 50 pounds.....not dollars...pounds.
No, we do realise how bad things are.......and if someone thinks staying away is showing support for the team, then I doubt we'll ever be back in the PL. Some keep saying - getting back to our rightful place...in the PL. I'd suggest the malaise has been much longer in terms of years in the old second division...and more recently in League One and The Championship. This isn't something new, not by a long shot.
