My first big interview, in the bowels of the Wembley Arena in the spring of 1983, was Neil Peart. I interviewed him a couple of times after moving to the States as well. A truly class act.

Canadian at that. He's done some amazing solos...check out YouTube if you are a drumming fan. I tried to play drums for a while, then got out of it in awe of this guy. Boring? I don't think so! but we all have our opinions.....Spain boring? never! Manure boring, damned right!!! The "argument" is that it appears the only way of actually defeating beautiful football is by playing anti football. Spain and barca's passing IS indeed a thing of footballing beauty, almost an art form. I too love to watch it (I've said personally for years now I prefer La Liga to the Prem in pure footballing terms. But excitement? That's they key. I've been to some absolutely brilliant, awesome, technically brilliant, atmospherically superb gigs ... And then the drum solo has kicked in! Neil Pert's was a particularly impressive one, technically one of the finest I've EVER seen. Precision, timing, accuracy, technique all flawless. But ultimately boring! > Geddit? > > _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate
