I had this debate last night with a very bored Mrs Rev - for me there's been 4 great International teams in my lifetime - the Brazil of Jairzino(Sp?), Rivelino etc, Holland of Cryuff, Neeskens etc, France of Platini era, and Spain. One might argue you could add Argentina, but I don't! France can safely be put in 4th place. On things won Spain win hands down! On the pitch, I don't think they'd have it all their own way with the Brazil/Holland - they'd have far more defending to do with Brazil, and Torres would not be getting goals like that against the giant Dutch defence. Who knows? They were pretty awesome last night!
