The problem is that supporters of the state of Israel can't see past the end of their noses. They are pouring oil and quite probably napalm on a as you rightly say a highly volatile situation. Castigating Israel for this or expansionism into the west bank is strictly not permitted as it has racist connotations and therefore you too must be a holocaust denier…..and so on and so forth. Just like the NHS ,pensions and "broadcast" benefits, means testing and so on they are the new "untouchables". Not a word can be said that may offend, as they fought the war, made you better, deserve the reward or were victims of genocide.
