Can't really came down too much after that. Ok 2-1 away to Forest on the face of it isn't a disaster but for me this performance tells me that we haven't actually progressed since last season. In fact the performance today, especially the first half, will p ld its own against any of the shite Warnock or Grayson (towards the end served) up.
Bringing back Michael Brown and Danny Pugh to play in a 5 man midfield is just lunacy. We're trying to play with wing backs but we haven't got a wing back at the club ? Lee Peltier isn't even a good right back. Asking him to be a wing back is actually being cruel to the lad because it highlights his limitations as a championship footballer. I can only think this formation is supposed to keep us steady until 50 minutes and then he can release a bit of pace and steal the game. Get a fooking brain Brian, we are just sitting ducks turning up with this formation and these tactics. We had one shot on target that I can remember in 96 minutes of football and that went in as a result of a f'ck up in their defence handing it on a plate to Macca. And whilst we're talking about Macca nobody can convince me that he hasn't been on the piss this Christmas. He was shocking and didn't even look interested at times. Second half we did improve with our new winger, Byram and Poleon but we were still clueless even after Peltier and Brown had left us. their second goal straight from the kick off after we had equalised said it all to me. Their guy got the ball and was given the freedom of the park. Austin and Murphy just watched as he strolled through the midfield and put it in the net. Yes, good shot, good goal but that was criminal on our part and no wonder Kenny had a right go at Austin. 1 good performance in 10 is not good enough from our captain, Not much else to say other than Kenny - 7 made some half decent saves. could have been worse. Injured early on as well Peltier - 1. Poor old Lee. Needs to be farmed out to Yeovil Pugh - 3. Playing effectively as a left winger. (snigger snigger). Come on Brian, there's plenty of managers prior to you who have realised that this bloke is shite even the idiot who brought him back for a ridiculous fee didn't play him. Is Brian going mad ? Lithuanian - 6. I thought he did ok whilst all around were all at sea Lees - 5. Worked hard. Austin - 4. Improved slightly second half but overall a very poor showing from our captain. Murphy - 0. What is there left to say about this lad ? We're all hoping he comes good but come on let's face the truth. BMD has bought a dud and he is not up to this level. I wonder if there's anyone in League One who will pay a million for him ? Rubbish. Nraobody can convince me that Sam Byram couldn't do this job much better than Murphy. This is Byram's position for me. Brown - 3. Why has BMD brought him back in What's the thinking ? We need to know ? At least he looked like he cared. He got the ball , had a shot (now that's a rarity in itself). Brown isn't our main problem. Pearce - 5. Not sure he knows how and where to play in this system. Smith - 1. Just dreadful. A tall man with no pace who can't head a ball. What future has he got ? Macca - 1 - and that was for the goal. He was awful. Happy bloody Christmas Subs: New lad on the wing - I thought he did ok , he at least provided a real options on the wing . Poleon - came on and tried his heart out. BMD - 0. Brian the clown Losing faith fast. Words are one thing, action and making things happen on the pitch are something else. _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] John 'Grampa' Sykes Rest In Peace old lad 28th Oct 1938 - 12 Nov 2013 MARCHING ON TOGETHER
