I'd like to put the alternative view. BMD bought Matt Smith and now chooses to
play him alongside Macca - no pace.

BMD spent a million on a League One player. I don't remember Warnock having
such a luxury. Murphy looks like a league one player to me.

BMD has brought Danny Pugh back as a left winger. Why ? I know Warnock got
injured but surely there has to be a better option than Danny Pugh.

BMD is playing a 3-5-2 system that is completely at odds with the players he is
selecting. Peltier and Pugh are the least likely wing backs you could ever
select, but yet he continues with this system match after match.

BMD seems to be happy playing a long ball game in most games recently, almost
acknowledging that his midfield is not comfortable on the ball.

BMD brought Noël Hunt to the club , definitely an old pals arrangement as Hunt
as shown he has little to offer. What is Noël Hunt doing these days ?

BMD has enquired about bringing Becchio back. That says it all for me.

BMD won't give Byram, the player of the year last year a chance. Too good to be
sat in the bench. Can't anyone else see that Byram is a midfielder , not a
right back or a wing back. He would be an immediate improvement to Murphy in
midfield.

On the plus side,

We are close to the play offs although we have to be realistic and say recent
performances demonstrate we're miles away from a team who is capable of
promotion.

Also, he has given Mowatt a chance but I suspect that is more down to some of
his players not giving him any option (he was forced to drop Murphy earlier due
to some really poor performances)

Overall, I'm happy for him to see this season out to see if there is a
progression, but I think the performances are actually getting worse.
