It was 0 0 and,     did I say it was 0 0. There was a game of  football and it
ended with no goals. We drew at home v Forest - it was 0 0 you know. We got a
point today so not  a bad result and we got a clean sheet so we did OK. It was
0 0 so we did not score either so it was not great. My bus to the station and
the train to Leeds was on time, I had a few drinks and went to Elland Road to
watch the football - it ended 0 0. We got a point and so did they.  My train
home and the bus after that was on time too, and I saw us draw 0 0. Oh, forgot
to say, we started with the same team as last week and we kept a clean sheet
but did not score either. We played in white and they played in redDougie
Freeman who did pretty well for us in the very few games he was here on loan
was their manager. Antecnucci came on as sub and then later so did Doukara but
it made no differenceSilvestri made 3 stops and if he had not the ball would
have been in our net, but he did and so they did not score.I think Morison had
a bit of a shot and Charlie Taylor almost looked like he might score, but he
didn't so it was 0 0There were over 30,000 people there and it ended 0 0.
Someone in a Leeds shirt, I forgot who it was, did a good back heel to another
Leeds player but it was 0 0 in the end.Sorry  but that was awful - I have been
going to ER for 40 years now and in that time only missed on average 2 or 3
games a season but this was as uneventful and forgettable game as any. Nothing
happened, nothing at all, ever. It was dire. To quote TV rubbish this was not a
game 'for the neutral' (not sure what neutrals are doing at any game mind
you)The 5,000 or so Leeds fans who have not been going week in week out, will
not be tempted to come again after that - 90 minutes of pure stagnation. Two
teams who did not want to win - almost as poor as the Germany / Austria game in
the World cup in 1982 or the England / Ireland game (although at least in that
one Hoddle hit the post) If I was a Forest fan  I would not be happy - they are
struggling for the play offs, they are too far behind- so they needed to give
it a go and try 100% for the 3 points, but they seemed happy enough to just go
through the motionsI have seen friendlies with more passion, commitment and
fire than was on show todayFrom our point of view, fair enough, we have nothing
to play for, we should be looking to next season. Play for your place, play for
a new contract, play to impress any Premier team who may be watching, play for
the 30k who have paid money to watch, play for your pride, but for fucks sake
PLAYOk I am being harsh but I really cannot remember a single good chance that
came our way or a bad miss or anything, and the same from Forest reallyMe and
my mates are divided as to whether Redfearn is the man for the future - I am in
the 'yes' camp but I do have to admit I cannot see us getting promoted with him
in charge, but his record suggests he has earned a fair crack at it, but games
like today, no shape, no purpose , no point, make it hard to support himYes, I
have seen us play a lot worse than this and it was not that bad, but it all
seemed pointless and pedestrian at a time when I wanted us to do something, try
something, differnet, to play with the shackles removed and go out and show the
country what we can doSo an ok result against a decentish team and a clean
sheet for the Bamba / Bellusci partership, but when I say that me and my mate
spent 15 minutes of the second half trying to recall Woottons first name (Scott
in case you wondered) it gives an idea of how things were. Not a bad performance
and we deserved the point - the final point we may need to stay up- but I
wonder which 30 seconds the TV will show tonight, and 6 out of 10 all round (5
for Sharp as our only out and out striker but who never had a shot) - no-one
played badly but it was one big non eventI will still be there next home game
and I do not want to appear as negative as the above sounds but it was a
nothing gameDave
