I see what you're saying there, but he must be the only player with much 1st
team experience who regards himself as a left-back.

Not being the old style dogged defender has not stopped some full-backs
reaching pretty much the highest level of the game, as teama these days often
put being comfortable on the ball above being able to defend. I guess it is
felt that you can teach a footballer how to defend, but you cannot develop an
old-fashioned clogger into a footballer. My preferred scenario is to have one
of each at full back with the team set up to refect that. You could say that
Leeds kind of have that Berardi and Taylor.

While I'm coming out of lurkdom, what is the score with the lack of a shirt
sponsor. It must be to do with ditching Macron or whoever for Kappa, with a
year left on the Macron deal. All I've been able to find other than the
obvious 'Leeds United's shirt does not have a sponsor's name this season', is a
couple of guarded references to a 'separate legal action'.

It must be costing the club to have a) Either no shirt sponsor, or b) A shirt
sponsor without a name on the shirt. Because if it is b, they must be paying a
reduced whack! But I've seen next to no comment about it anywhere.

KOT.
