Are they all that strange?

New owner brings in new backroom + coaching staff. As for their job titles,
it looks like Wikipedia has the full list.

The point has been made repeatedly on Twitter that English players are
being overpriced on the transfer market at the moment. Not sure if that's
true, but surely signing players with potential who will play in the U23s
for now does not seem like it hurts.

Bouy's 4 year deal does seem a bit odd, I admit. Think he is old enough
that he is as good as he will get, aka not good enough for Leeds. If he has
a recall option, I don't mind it.

Our second leading scorer last year was Bartley. So we needed to bring in
midfielders who can bag a few goals. Seems like we've done that. Time will
tell. Also, Ayling and Jansson both joined in mid-August last year--after
we had played our first games. We have time to shore up the back line.

As for selecting the captain, seems to me the captain should be the leader
on the pitch. Could be that TC is confident everyone in the squad will
listen to him. Jansson has the passion, but unless he sorts out his
discipline, will miss too many games to merit the armband in my eyes.

The choice of TC has coach seems to be largely based on his
interview--which was apparently impressive. He is a risky choice, but he is
saying the right things I think.
