Hi all, For some reason, when I reply to stuff, it does not include the
previous post.

But in all I pretty much agree with everything Dave N said.

It was one of those games when last year, Wood would probably have put one of
Lasogga's chances away, and the points would have been ours.
Although the goals have been spread around a lot more this time, we will
occasionally miss a player, who puts away one of the few chances in a tight
game. Forest understandably played as though their lives depended on it, and
did push the boundaries of what is acceptable in today's terms.
On the positive side I thought the defence and keeper looked more solid than
for much of the season, including Cooper who IMO had the best game I've seen
from him, including a goal-saving tackle.

I agree that Phillips and O'Kane are too similar, so there could be scope for
getting a midfield play-maker. Vieira may not quite be ready to fill that
role, and I don't see what Klich brings to the party.
However, and I may be obsessed with this, much of the lack of rhythm at comes
from not having a left-footed player on the left side at all. Nobody is
willing to drive to the line and put the ball in the box on that side. If it
happens, it is done reluctantly after all other crossing possibilities have
been explored, and the opposing defence is well-set. Charlie Taylor used to
provide a lot of that balance. I think a left-footed left back is the top
priority.

KOT.
