Totally agree about O’Kane. Worst thing is he hides from the ball. As you say,
he should be the heartbeat of the team but he just isn’t.
Batty is my favourite Leeds player. Just superb.
With strikers it can be hard to judge them if they don’t get much service but
you can at least watch their movement and the positions they take up. Lasogga
seems to get in some good areas but movement isn’t great. He’ll score goals in
a team that plays to his strengths but not sure we can when midfield is so
ineffective.
I try to be optimistic when we sign someone new but usually end up agreeing
with you eventually!
I usually start with excitement over new signing and looking forward to
watching them play, to hoping they’ll be better next time, to being annoyed
that we’ve signed someone rubbish, to resignation that it’s all happening again!
Hopefully Forshaw turns out to be the player we need but I think at the moment
it’s hard to judge either him or the new coach. We’ve a squad completely bereft
of confidence full of players who aren’t good enough who know they probably
won’t be here next season.
Must say I’m starting to get annoyed with the owner. Saw him on Twitter the
other day saying he thinks the squad is better than last year - that’s not what
the table says. Plus there’s the very early season ticket renewal date to get
the price freeze. The end of March is very early, particularly given the dross
we’ve seen of late. He quite rightly got a lot of credit for buying back ER but
I don’t think he should get a free ride off the fans either. I’ll probably
still renew but £400 to watch division two football £520 for my son and I) is a
lot of money.
