A game of two halves again. And again, even against drek, we reverted to form.
It simply will not do.
I am extremely pessimistic about this season and do not see how one game can
change anything.
The writing has been on the wall for some time now. We are careering straight
into the wall regardless.
I want to be wrong.

A real ‘novelty’ of a cup match to have it won so early, albeit against hapless
opponents. But of course, the same defensive frailties as soon as a team starts
to push forward - it started when Llorente fluffed his role, fell over to
‘cover his mistake’, and from then on they started to look nervous. Luke
Ayling, bless him - how many goals does he have to give away before he is
rested! Roca was unlucky re the penalty - I thought he was trying to get his
arm out of the way, but it hit him so a 50/50 call. But Ayling?

No-one has mentioned it, but having Greenwood on for the corners almost
justifies his inclusion - he takes some great corners.

Good practice for the weekend though - now the season really does have to start!
