Its a team game so always hard to blame an individual especially for one
error. Having said that it was a huge mistake and very costly since we had no
time to change the result Overall Meslier has not been impressive or lived up
to his early promise. His saves / goals xg or whatever it us for keepers has
been one of the worst in the division. At one point something like 16 shots on
target from 17 went in the net - not greatThe main problem is he is so much
better than his would be replacement, Darlow, who is awful
Whether the 2pts from these games is sufficient only time will tell but we
could and should have won them both so there is lots to be happy about
especially given our injuries - 2 from 4 wingers out ( hopefully DJ and Solomon
will be back for Sheff game) and 2 of 4 midfielders out for months Heads up and
go again in 2 weeks - hoping that the likes of Tanaka and Aaronson dont suffer

But it’s team sport and if we are blaming him for costing us 2 points last
night, then we are also blaming Aaronson for the 2 points lost against
Portsmouth, Solomon for the 2 (at least) lost against Burnley, and Rodon
against Norwich. Aren’t we?
It’s a good result, especially given our suddenly threadbare midfield.
