Looking at the stats on FotMob, he ranks 18th for save percentage (66.1%). Trafford at Burnley is top with 85%. He’s 17th for goals prevented (-1.7). Johansson at Stoke (9.6) , Pears at Blackburn (7.9) and Trafford (6.9) are the top three. Astonished we didn’t go for Johansson in the summer when he left Rotherham. The only saving grace for Meslier (excuse the pun) is that the team ahead of him are so good that some games he doesn’t face any shots on goal. To me his confidence looks shot , it’s not just the mistakes, it’s the decision making that leads him there. Farke has tried backing him (after the Sunderland horror show) but I think now he needs to take him out of the firing line. I imagine Darlow was going to play in the cup anyway but if he doesn’t do anything too disastrous he should keep his place. He has played for Wales this season. Assuming we don’t sign anyone.
