Done correctly, the ruck is a thing of beauty and expertly controlled
violence! It's all in the support play, and should simply go like this:
Man gets tackled. If no supporting team-mate right behind him, he goes to
ground. Then (if done right) two or three team-mates should annihalate the
opposing support players, trample over the tackler, the scrum half grabs
the well presented ball and we're off again. Problem is in England
(particularly) the scrum half sets up a picnic table, invites a couple of
other forwards round for afternoon tea and biscuits before passing to his
fly half who, by now, has the whole of the opposition ready and waiting
for him!!!!!!
