Green Possibilities for the Reconstruction of East Timor
Seed Savers' Network, Australia
East Timor is fast becoming a land of freedom and reconstruction. While
urgent social and health issues continue to face the East Timorese people
on a day to day basis, some plans are now being made about the long-term
future of the country. Australia is geographically and economically in a
key position to assist, and today we speak about some of the green
solutions that might be involved.

Michel Fanton is with the Seed Savers' Network here in Australia, and today
he joins Earth Matters to tell us about the Network's plans for training
and assistance in setting up seed banks, and building up sustainable
agricultural with the people of East Timor. He begins by outlining the
bigger vision called the Global Action Plan.

provide East Timor with support and assistance in the field of alternative

Climate Change Campaigning down the Queensland Coast
Australia continues to drag its feet on taking real action to curb climate
change. Amidst the frustration many individuals and organisations are
