How can Legacy tell her the file is empty if she cannot locate or open
the file? Make sure she detaches to C:\Legacy\Data. Then start Legacy
and, using File|Open, navigate to C:\Legacy\Data (probably already there
by default) and select and open the .fdb she just detached.

It sounds like she failed to detach the file, or she detached it but is
unsure of where she placed it.

You will probably have to walk her thru it step by step over the phone.
