Is it critical for her to have the .fdb in c:\Legacy\Data? My files are in my
Documents folder, buried several levels down...I know that's been discussed
before.

Right you are about the contradictions -- the terminology is a big hurdle when
trying to communicate with her, but she is learning fast. My phone just went
out of order a cpl days ago so I am stuck with email and chat for now. I just
sent her explicit directions using the newly-created .zip file per the other
LUG suggestion.

I'm in Washington, she's in Florida, so it'll be awhile before I hear back. I
will keep the group posted. I sure didn't expect this to be so difficult...

Thanks all for your help--stay tuned!

Oh, BTW, she later said that the Legacy program told her that she had to do an
update (she had installed it in August)to be able to read my data -- which she
did. Wouldn't that indicate that the .fdb file had arrived OK?
