Yes Patti, there is an easier way. Dick Eastman, the well-known genealogy blogger and trainer, recommended Dropbox for this on his blog a while ago.
I must say, it has certainly solved my backup issues. It syncs all of my laptop and desktop genealogy files and it backs them up off-site - automatically whenever I save a file. And the 2GB account is free! It works so well, I'm ready to buy the 50GB size for $9.99/month to back up my whole HD without having to burn CDs or thumb drives. http://blog.eogn.com/eastmans_online_genealogy/2009/09/dropbox-why-you-need-this-program.html BTW, I have absolutely no association with Dropbox. I'm just responding to your question. Hugh On Tue, Dec 15, 2009 at 7:15 PM, <[email protected]> wrote: > Is there an easier way to back up my data other than saving it copying > it to a Cd?
