Greetings,

I thought about suggesting we take this topic off-LUG but the question
you raise may concern Legacy as much as it does Dropbox.

Initially I assumed that the variable settings would be communicated
in one of the 8 or 9 family-related files that are saved when you exit
Legacy. Changing a setting in the -->Options --> Customize field
seemed to confirm this. The file was automatically up-dated in my
laptop Dropbox. However, the display didn't track the command.

Then when I exited the laptop, both computers' Dropbox added new
files with the added phrase "(Hughs laptop's conflicted copy 2009-
12-16).tc)". and "(...).fdb". One might conclude that this is a
Dropbox warning that the files differ and let the user take corrective
action. Perhaps it recognizes a different selection setting but lacks
a command to take the action to make it happen.

There are obviously more diagnostics in order but I haven't finished
my Christmas shopping yet! Perhaps the Legacy programmers will
know exactly what needs to be done . . . or not.

     Hugh
