blogger and trainer, recommended Dropbox for this on his blog a while ago.

  I must say, it has certainly solved my backup issues.  It syncs all of my 
laptop and desktop genealogy files and it backs them up off-site - 
automatically whenever I save a file.

  And the 2GB account is free!  It works so well, I'm ready to buy the 50GB 
size for $9.99/month to back up my whole HD without having to burn CDs or thumb

    Legacy - Preparing to save to CD

    Open Legacy

    Go to last ancestor

    Go to file "save family file as family name and date " e.g. Mitchell Family 
Tree Dec. 03 09," Be sure am on "Pat" doc, check "Enter a name - do not put a 
hpc

    Hit "save" on bottom

    Back up Family File check to make sure file reads 
C:\Users\Pat\Documents\Legacy trees individual "name of file."

    Select name and location for date backup- Scroll to Legacy Individual, 
double click to open.

    Click on it

    Make sure name on bottom is "Mitchell" or whatever name you gave it.

    Save

    Backup

    Exit Legacy

    Insert Disc

    For Vista, open Cyber link DVD (Icon on desktop) make a Data CD

    Pat

    Documents

    Double click (opens)

    Edit - Select all-drag to Bottom or choose one tree and drag

    My Data - right click - Rename - enter

    Burning - Burn Disc

    Hit Burn.
