I make each correspondent a separate Source, and create what may be as long as a book. I have about 5 people who sent papers containing over 100 pages. I number the pages, skipping some numbers until the next 'ends in one' comes up. first 1-5, second 11-56, third 61-62. Since within those pages, I may receive 20 - 30 different Sources, so if it is like VR for a place, in the 'book' I will make an extra copy of that 'first page', and write on that page what name I called the (now) separate source. This keeps all from the same person together, but allows using my sources the way I like, which is making types of them, place records (IL Cook County Chicago 1900 Census), family records (Johnson family book), other records (Social Security). Each of us choose our way of doing things. Good luck. Rich in LA CA

Do you recommend adding each individual email / letter as an individual master source along with the date? Eg. Smith - John - Email – 2010-01-12 Or should I just have ONE master source for the individual? Eg. Smith – John – Emails And then when attaching the source to someone on my tree, then adding the information from the email and the date received under the individual “Edit Details” tab? Thanks for your help.
