Yes, Maybe I was hasty with my original assertion about on-line mapping. But, with suitable historical overlays, on-line mapping could become more useful to genealogists than it currently is. However, I would add a corollary to your last statement: The Geo database also does not show any non-US historical locations. Since I've never downloaded the US database, and haven't come across an ancestor with any kind of link to the USA, I can't comment on the accuracy or otherwise of the US database. Which is why I've added the rider concerning non-US locations. -- Regards, Mike Fry Johannesburg Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp
