Why not just start building a location database of our own?

Seems all we need is:
PlaceName-Long-Lat

Put into a 3 column spreadsheet and doing a two level sort on long and then lat
would show every name associated with any particular long/lat- right?

Get as many other legacy users, even others who use other programs, as possible
to contribute their locations, add in the GEObase locations and you've got a
great start.

Hi John,

Such a thing has been mentioned at least twice in the past few days -
did you not see it?!

Under this very subject line, I posted yesterday:

"Dave Naylor told us how to do this yesterday under the subject
"Customizing Location Format". You can read his post at
http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg01482.html
if you missed it."

If this doesn't work for you, please let us know what you did and where
you had problems, so that we can try to help you further. :-)

Kind Regards,
Wendy Howard
