Bill, Fools step in .... I haven't any idea what this thread is about but it caused me to look at the GeoCountyCodes, txt file on my pc. My file has a Scottish section and includes e.g. Banff and Banffshire. I've included a section below on the off chance that your file is defective.
> * Scotland Abbreviations > * http://www.genuki.org.uk/mindex.html > * http://www.rootsweb.com/~wlsgfhs/ChapmanCodes.htm > * > United Kingdom|Aberdeen |+Aberdeen > United Kingdom|Aberdeen |Aberdeenshire > United Kingdom|Aberdeen |-ABD > United Kingdom|Angus |+Angus > United Kingdom|Angus |-ANS > United Kingdom|Argyll |+Argyll > United Kingdom|Argyll |-ARL > United Kingdom|Ayr |+Ayr > United Kingdom|Ayr |Ayrshire > United Kingdom|Ayr |-AYR > United Kingdom|Banff |+Banff > United Kingdom|Banff |Banffshire > United Kingdom|Banff |-BAN But perhaps this is an irrelevance to what you are trying to do.
