While you are waiting for replies from people with more experience I
would be thinking along the following lines.

Open the GEDCOM file as a txt file in Word or whatever and then use Find
& Replace  to edit and move info around to suit Legacy's use of GEDCOM.
If there was much repetition involved I would use the Macro function of
Word.

As this can't be an uncommon requirement there might be 'conversion'
routines out there already written for this job, i.e. FTM source format
to Source Writer format.

In fact it would be useful if Legacy provided 'conversion' suites from
the well known application (one way, of course). For simple users like
myself  working with standard GEDCOM files has always been sufficient.

I will be interested to read other peoples approaches.
