What we have here is an assertion. i.e. a source document said "so-and-so was of Anytown". You don't have to figure out what is meant ... don't over-analyze it. Given the limitations of the Legacy data model, I would record it just like I do other assertions. Maybe add an Event/Fact called "Misc" and enter "so-and-so was of Anytown" and attach a citation. I might choose to make it private (so it doesn't get reported or exported) if I already have enough other info on this person establishing that assertion independently. If this is all I've got for this person, I wouldn't make it private. -- Dennis Kowallek (LTools) http://zippersoftware.com/ltools http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ltools Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp
