One of the reasons I had to reboot was because there was an odd window with the
message "Message File record #13296 not found" along the top. Each time I
clicked on it the number would change. You could click inside of it and
actually type a message, but you couldn't get the window to go away; the
computer was locked up. So the reboot was to basically release the computer
from the evil little box.

Thanks for your suggestions and comments.

That's good. The only difference between what the phone tech told you to do
and what's on the website is that the website has you delete the .LNG files,
which are replaced when you reinstall Legacy.

Restarting the computer isn't on the website but it does solve a myriad of
problems, esp if you leave your computer on all the time.

Contacting Support directly either by phone or email (but not both, please!) is
the best way to get an answer to a technical problem if you can't find it in
the Help Center Technical Support pages on the website.

Thanks for using Legacy.

I talked to technical support and he told me to reboot the computer and then go
to the Legacy website and download the basic program again. I did that and it
reloaded; problem solved.
