I can concur with what John has been trying to say. a) Start with an empty file b) Marriage Defaults are - well, the defaults c) Add a person d) Add a child At this point because there is no spouse, the Wording Options in the marriage for Unknown & Jane DOE is 'married someone'. Also, the word 'Unknown' has been added as a spouse, because I have the 'Word for Blank Records' set that way. If I change it, the 'Unknown' goes away, but the 'married someone' stays. e) Add a spouse In the marriage, the 'Wording Options' still says 'married someone' Change the order of entry so that you have a) Person b) Spouse c) Child In the marriage, the 'Wording Options' says 'married' QED -- Regards, Mike Fry Johannesburg Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp
