That is why I suggested that there be "Accept" & "Reject" so that special cases 
as you point out the routine would be as now going to "Close" to accept as 
intended by you. We have a Dutch lady friend whose first given name is "A" 
(pronounced ah) so I was aware of those possibilities. I would feel that even 
with a Period that would not be doing a disservice to the individual. DArcy or 
D Arcy is similar.

        While on this topic it should be pointed out that there are a few names 
with a single letter that does not represent an abbreviation of some name but 
is just a letter.  Example:  Glade S Price has an S in his name but it does not 
stand for anything...it's just an S without a period.

        What is the standard for entering such names?
