Reading mail in the archives comes through http (hyper-text transfer protocol)
and by using a Web Browser. Receiving email comes through pop (post office
protocol) and using an email client with an email address. Two totally
different things on the Internet. I should also mention that neither Legacy nor
Millennia have done anything wrong to possibly be on a blacklist of one ISP.
It's just an error or mis-configuration on the part of the ISP, perhaps someone
entered a wrong digit when entering an IP address.

Actually reading the current mail in the archives isn't all that bad of a
thing. One doesn't have to worry about your own mail box being jammed with 20,
50, or more messages at a time. Plus you get to pick and choose which threads
you want to take a look at and when you want to look at them.

One final thing I might suggest is that the OP try using one of those
disposable email accounts...you know, through G-Mail, HotMail, etc. Sign up for
the LUG using one of those accounts and if the OP still doesn't receive any
email from the LUG, then the problem may lie in a mis-configuration on her own
machine. Maybe somehow the messages are being treated as spam and are instantly
being deleted or maybe she has a certain IP address being blocked on her own.
