I've had some records from "Indian Territory" and other similar ones. I believe that most usually indicated a city or township, a county, and of course the name "Indian Territory" or "Oklahoma Territory". Sometimes I've even seen a location only as "Voting Precinct" or maybe it was "Voting District". For example, the 1900 census indicated one location as "Wakita Township, Grant County, Oklahoma Territory" which is exactly how I entered it. Of course it won't resolve to a legitimate Geo-Code and BING has no clue but it's the correct, factual location.
