I have missed out on some of this conversation, so I apologize if I am
duplicating someone's previous input. What about creating an event such as
"Birth1", meaning this birth event is not real credible -- similar to how
the SourceWriter gives a Surety Level from 0 to 4 with 0 being "have not
decided yet", 1 being "marginal evidence", 2 being "probable conclusion",
etc... At a glance you can tell how creditable the event is by the number.
The source can then be attached to the event for quick reference.

I have made events such as Birth-Disputed just so I have a notation that I
found this information and the reasons why it is not valid. The name of the
event can be whatever is appropriate.

I think documenting the disputed and unconfirmed information is just as
important as documenting the confirmed information (as long as it is noted
as being disputed/unconfirmed) because you never know for sure why it is
there or what it may lead to or clear up later.
