Brett,

Wouldn't a researcher have the persons information with the source? One
wouldn't go to a library or county clerk with just a source citation would
they? I don't know why I can't get my head around this, even with the
ScourceWriter template. I have edited the citation below.

Do I need this> "C:4, Births, 1755-1823, Line 30" in the citation twice?

Steve

Church of Sweden (Sosta, Romfartuna, Västmanland, Sweden), C:4, Births,

Subsequent Citation:

Hi Steve

My opinion is that there is not enough detail. I would be expecting the line
of text in the citation to give me enough to get a copy of the specific item
(assumed to be a birth record in this case) - for example just pass this
"instruction" over at the counter (pay the money) and recieve the evidence.
Is it enough? But if this is citing a website, then I would also expect a
bit more (I can't get into the site to check what you have quoted, but would
have expected a fuller URL and date it was sighted/copied).

For my citations I have also been including the "fact" (eg the full date) so
that I can check between sources (where they conflict/vary), and if
challenged, without having to go back and find my copy of the piece of paper
etc (you may do this with an attached image).

Cheers, Brett

Hi,
Could I get an opinion on the following Source Citation. Would this satisfy
the requirements of genealogists or would I need to add more information for
