When that happened to me a few years ago, I discovered, that by unknowingly sending backups to the C: drive instead of my portable (it was plugged in) my fifth backup (with multimedia) stepped on top of the C:drive. What a mess. My harddrive lost about 100 photos under the overwrite, but they were all on the portable drive. Don;t know if this applies. Good Luck Rich in LA CA
