In the Family File, the date an individual is added and/or modified is
stored in the database.  Click on the date in the lower right corner
of the Legacy window to bring those dates up if you want to see them.

When you import a gedcom into Legacy, you have created a new file and
consequently all individuals will have the date the file was created.
