.zip is the extension of back-up files created by Legacy.  If the file
is named PM.zip then PM is not an extension but the filename.  If you
look at your PM.zip in a "zipping" program such as Winzip you will be
able to see what files it contains.  (A .zip file can contain several
individual files - of the same or different types - within it.)
