Bob, Initially let me comment on the file name which you give at the end of your post: '6100 Marriage Records, XYZ County, TN' is not an acceptable file name as it contains commas. Commas are only used to define a path and to include them in a file name can only cause confusion. It is also helpful when posting to include the extension (.txt, .jpg, .pdf etc.) so that we know what sort of files we are taking about. PDFs, TXT for example are stored in the Files option and jpg. tiff and so on in pictures, there are other options for sound and video.
I will make the assumption that your 'Legacy --> Data --> Detail Sources' is in the Legacy default of C: i.e. C:\Legacy\Data\Detail Sources\ and not in somewhere like C:\My Documents\Legacy\.......... You only need to ensure the the folders which contain your files are in the same place in the path on your second PC as they are on the first. Provided that the are in C:\, as I stated, then they should automatically be found. If Legacy does not find the documents then use the 'browse for yourself' option to direct it to the folder in which you have stored it, then click on the missing file. The Repository in the Master Sources has nothing to do with the storage of pictures or documents, it is only a place where you record where you originally found the documents which you are using. I shouldn't have addressed the 'file carry' to another PC - it distracted from what information I need. I have 700+ digitized files in a folder under 'Legacy --> Data --> Detail Sources'. Most files are .pdf, but some are .jpg, .doc, .xls, etc., that I moved via a 32 GB flash drive. The files are in a folder named the same in PC #1 and PC #2. Can you explain how to take one digitized file in 'Detail Sources' (say it is named '6100 Marriage Records, XYZ County, TN') and add it to the Master Source, so that when I put a marriage event under Uncle Bob and Aunt Tess, I can access the digitized file from the event?
