Hi Ludie. It doesn't look anyone has answered your questions yet. What I can tell you is that there is a facility within Legacy to record a divorce as a status so that it becomes specific to the marriage events module and not a direct part of the regular events module. So, for example, if you have the husband and wife of that first marriage visible in the FAMILY view and you record the marriage (or have already recorded the marriage), you can go into the marriage events by clicking on the marriage events icon. That is is the second icon right in line with the date and place of marriage, on the right hand side of the screen. When you click on that icon, the marriage information where will come up where you can click on a drop-down box and select divorce as a STATUS and the date of the divorce, if known.
I suspect that entering DIVORCE as a status will handle things a bit differently as entering DIVORCE as a separate event on a per person basis. Someone else will probably chime in here and tell us the differences and what is desirable, but I thought I'd get the ball rolling by both contributing and asking a question myself on what is the best way to record divorces.
