Ludie, I never have any Marriage Events show up because I do not use them, except for the basic Marriage Date and Place. I use only Person Events. As is often discussed with other issues, that is part of the flexibility of Legacy; I know others use them, sometimes for anything that occurs during the marriage.
The Family View is best, IMO, for seeing all the basic events, including the marriage and the names of the children, at a glance. You can change the 5 items or "events" that appear for each person there if you want: go to Help Index > Family View > Customize for details. In addition, the Marriage will be below those events, before the names of the children. That should give you what you're asking for. I do all my editing from the Family View screen, and use it more than any other screen. Are you perhaps looking at and trying to edit from the Pedigree, Descendant, or Index tabs instead? BTW, your posts came through in HTML. I had to change to plain text to respond. Connie --- On Sun, 11/14/10, Ludie <[email protected]> wrote: Yes, Jenny. You did correctly understand my questions. When choosing the Edit tab then husband or wife, there were no events shown even if the marriage date is recorded. When choosing the Edit tab then the Marriage option the divorce is listed as an event and the marriage date is shown in the box for that purpose. I brought all of the information over via Gedcom from another genealogy software so I haven't personally entered any of the information into Legacy as it already existed in the other software program. For this example couple. I guess my real problem is that I'd like to simply be able to look at the husband or wife view and see the primary events: birth, marriage, death listed without having to go out and check other places. Burial shows up on the Family view. On a second example couple I just did a trial and entered the marriage date/place that was already there but as an event but it only shows up if you go to the marriage view. This is definitely going to take some getting use to.
