Jane,

For clarity, Legacy does not put the image in anyone's file when it is
attached to multiple individuals, it only adds the path of the image to each
person's file. So if your concern was regarding memory then forget it!

I only use items such as you describe as sources, and thus attach them to
the source of an event contained in the letter(s) which is relevant to the
individual. There's nothing to stop you doing it your way, and many do, I'm
simply saying that I wouldn't.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Placement of file

I have 5 letters scanned that relate to one of my families.  I don't want to
put each scan into any one of the siblings file because they have family
information that relate to other members as well.  I don't know the siblings
father's name, but i have him in as "Mr. Mayo", so that I can get his
children in as a family.

I put the letters in his record as "Mayo Correspondence"

Can anyone suggest a better place for scanned information that relates to
the family at large?
