Jane, Did you see my reply to this yesterday? It is doable by using the marriage note or marriage event for that family. If you are not sure how to add a new category to the Events list then check in the help section under Adding Catagories:
Adding Categories Simply type in the new category name. The entry can be up to 30 characters in length. It will be added to the Master To-Do Category List so you can quickly enter it again in the future. The Add Category screen is reached by clicking the Add button on the Master To-Do Category List screen. (The Master To-Do Category List screen can be reached by clicking the down arrow at the right side of the Category field on the Add To-Do Item screen, or by choosing Master Lists / To-Do Category from the View menu.) 5-51 Russ From: sarlesinsi...@gmail.com Sent: Wednesday, March 30, 2011 10:52 AM To: LegacyUserGroup@LegacyUsers.com Subject: Re: Re: [LegacyUG] Placement of file I am speaking of scanned letters. Each letter gives information about a number of people in the family. I wish there was some sort of general category where we could put information and material that pertains to the family as a whole, rather than having to always assign to one family member. I guess its just the way my brain works. Thanks for all the ideas and comments.
