Or have a internet/virus program that also monitors your email account so it
prevents them from going out in the first place.

Poor Myrna's Yahoo! account has been hijacked.  This has been
discussed many times on the LUG list in the past when other listers
have had their accounts hijacked and similar emails were sent to the
list.

Do NOT click on links sent to you or an email list which have no other
information about the link.

Myrna will probably find a Sent email in her Sent Mail folder on her
Yahoo webmail showing that this was sent.

It happened to me last year - I can only think it was done through the
web....

We've seen this with Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail and more recently AOL and
MSN accounts.

The only way to prevent these emails from going out from your email
account is to not have any contacts in the Contact List!
