I believe that Legacy uses Vb6. I would, therefore, imagine that within that
coding there is a routine which when you set the colours formats the
display. Legacy is propriety software and does not publish its source code,
otherwise anyone could copy it and they would be out of business.

Thanks.  I'm aware that I can manually change the colors.

Go to:
Options >> Customize >> Colors,
and click on the "Contents" button. Choose whatever color you want,
but do NOT choose a color the same as the background.
